There are experiences that move us and shift us as human beings, this was one of them.

I recently completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Rishikesh Vinyasa Yoga School in Rishikesh, India, over a 24-day immersive journey.

What began as a physical practice deepened into something far more expansive.

Each day was rooted in discipline, presence, and self-inquiry—moving through early morning practices, philosophy discussions, breathwork, and meditation along the Ganges.

I received my certification in Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga, with focused training in:

  • Pranayama (breathwork)

  • Yoga Nidra (guided meditation)

  • Yogic Philosophy

  • Alignment and anatomy

But beyond the curriculum, this experience offered something harder to put into words—clarity, humility, and a deeper connection to both tradition and self.

Rishikesh, often called the birthplace of yoga, holds a unique energy.

Practicing in this environment was a reminder that yoga extends far beyond the mat—it is a way of living, observing, and returning to presence.

As I step into teaching, I carry forward not only the techniques I’ve learned, but the intention behind them: to create spaces that are grounding, accessible, and deeply human.

Grateful for this chapter—and excited to begin sharing the practice with others.
